We came to the project to help them with their project and to learn about bioconstruction ourselfs. We had the house made from mud all by ourselfs and it was a nice experience living in a house like that and I could also observe some construction principles. The project we were working on was a big bamboo construction and we were learning a lot about how to work with the amazing bamboo. The work hours and work was always clear and was physical but rewarding! We arrived there with our car so it was no problem to visit Xalapa. I really liked the place and the experience and can recommend to everybody!

It's a rencho in the nature where you can give your contribute to the sustainable construction of some parts of the property. The food it's not provided and they took you to supermarket with 200 pesos every week. Beto was always welcoming and kind. Jose was always available for explanations and needs, even if he overstepped in confidence

I had been to the project before, but on this occasion my stay coincided with workshops on bio-concretes and bahareque. It was very gratifying to be able to learn from all the attendees and to get to know other projects in the area related to various techniques of bioconstruction and permaculture. I learned a lot, and living with other volunteers also made the time there quite pleasant. The activities were more about physical exertion and sun exposure, but the time spent seemed fair.

The time I spent at Ojtli I really enjoyed; I was looking for a space where I could feel calm and get away from the hustle while doing activities related to nature. I helped with the maintenance of the chicken coop and the garden, in addition to some short tasks depending on the day. I ran in the afternoons, and the volunteers' house has everything you might need. 💛
