I had a great experience at Rayne's place. You should definitely come if you're in search for a calm isolated place to get in touch with nature and permaculture. Connection to other towns won't be an easy task, but you'll be able to disconnect from society easily while there. Mainly you'll be able to have conversations with Rayne, which can teach much about her field of knowledge. Also you'll have 2 super friendly dogs that will tag alone with you wherever you go for a walk or run to make you company. I recommend this experience, but don't hesitate to ask me for details 😃 thanks Rayne!

Rayne was a very welcoming and knowledgeable host (as were her dogs), and we felt at home during our visit. She helped us immerse ourselves within the local culture and people, and we were lucky enough to be given opportunities not often available to tourists. We learnt a number of various skills and would recommend this host to anyone looking to learn more about permaculture and Bulgaria itself.

Rayne welcomed us with open arms, providing us with 3 delicious meals a day, so encouraging us to help ourselves to the kitchen whenever we wished. We gained about permaculture and sustainability. Rayne was an excellent teacher, we learnt a variety of practical skills, including using a chainsaw, felling trees, harvesting seeds, creating dead hedges, transplanting trees etc. Rayne immersed us in local culture, offering experiences with Kirilovo clothing, Kukeri masks, and a visit to a village with healing stones. Rayne's place offers a unique blend of learning, culture, and furry friends.

I spent a month in this placement and I can honestly say I'll be applying many of the skills I learned in the future. Especially about gardening and permaculture. Rayne is very knowledgeable and was happy to teach us everything she knows. This also includes about Bulgaria, it's culture and many other topics. There is a lot work to be done but seeing it all come to fruition is very rewarding.

A very rewarding experience for anyone wanting to learn about gardening and permaculture. There's a huge variety of work to be done here and I've picked up a lot of new skills and knowledge from Rayne, who is keen to share her expertise and immerse us in the local culture. There was a Kukeri festival here during our stay and we had the opportunity to try on the costumes.
