The Experience

I'm developing an off grid ecovillage in widerness nature not far from Saturnia thermal baths in Tuscany Italy 📖 Please read carefully my profile. Old Tuscan Country House built in 1881 not far from Saturnia thermal baths (30 minutes), the sea (50 minutes) and the mountain (60 minutes). This project is for nature lovers that want to live an experience far from the chaotic city life. The use of drugs, alcohol and smoking are forbidden here.

I had a great time volunteering at the house, even though I stayed for just a few days! Franzs explained my tasks clearly and I was given the guidance I needed to complete them. My favourite part of the experience was the opportunity to reconnect to the eco village and experience a slower pace of life. After completing the work, I had the time to rest, meditate and enjoy the quiet surroundings. The views around the house are incredible!

Franz is very respectful and generous, I had a great week in his place and I'd love to come back to see how his project is going. We helped him building a platform for the pool, with gardening and painting some wood. His instructions are clear and he is always open for questions. The experience was a real exchange, we cooked and ate together and some days we went out to visit some cool places in the area. I was able to learn new recipes with him since he is a great cook. We had a private room with bathroom just for us. This was one of my best experiences volunteering.

It was a lovely experience. Franz is kind and respectful and shows deep care in his work and role as a host. He's a great cook and prepared healthy and delicious meals with natural and fresh ingredients. He showed us around and even took us to local events, while also respecting our privacy and need for rest. The house is gorgeous, the views stunning, accomodation is simple but comfortable. Work was alright, some gardening and DIY, expectations were clear and respected. The region is really beautiful. Be prepared for insects and animals ;) Thank you Franz! We would love to come back :)

It was my first experience as a volunteer and it was perfect. The work is very easy. Franz explains exactly what I have to do and respects work hours too. Franz took me to Saturnia, we did some hiking in some small towns, talked to locals, saw breathtaking Tuscan landscapes. If you need to be in contact with the eco village this is the perfect place.
