I had such a great experience volunteering here overall! Ana was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Jonathan was not as welcoming, and I did run into a few issues with him, but Ana was always quick to step in and resolve everything. Teaching yoga was easily one of the best parts, and I loved having the freedom to choose what I wanted to teach. La Fortuna is super walkable, and the tour discounts were amazing! My only downside was the volunteer room having na/C. It gets extremely hot, especially at night, and I couldn't imagine having all four beds filled.

I stayed at the hostel for two weeks and I loved it. La Fortuna is beautiful, and the hostel has a very good vibe. Analia is a super friendly and cool person! The hostel is very comfortable and really clean. There are plenty of bathrooms and showers, and a big kitchen where I cooked a lot of my meals. I shared a room with another volunteer; we became friends and spent a lot of time together. My schedule was perfect. I taught one yoga class in the morning and one at night, with one day off per week. I had a lot of free time during the day.

My time at the hostel was amazing. Ana was a perfect host! The reception work was explained very clearly, and if I had some questions, she always responded quickly. I got a schedule before each week, so I could plan beforehand. The hostel is also a really beautiful place. Very nice, clean, and well-organized. I appreciated that we had a small room for volunteers only. Overall, I truly felt like at home there and would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who wants to spend time in a beautiful friendly environment in an amazing place surrounded by nature. I absolutely loved my time at the hostel! Ana is absolutely wonderful, and everything was just as I expected. As a yoga teacher, I taught for two hours a day, 6 days a week, and felt that this was a great work exchange. The hostel is clean, in a great location close to La Fortuna center, and feels safe. Most guests only stay for a few days as most anything to do costs money, but I definitely think the town is worth a visit. Thank you so much to Ana for a great experience! :)

I really enjoyed my time volunteering at this hostel! Ana was an amazing host, super friendly and i felt welcome from the beginning 🫶🏼 The work was very easy and i still had a lot of free time. The hostel is in a good location, most things are walkable and there are many activities to do. La fortuna is a nice place to stay and it felt very safe. it was a great first volunteer experience for me and i would highly recommend it!
