Laiju and Namitha are wonderful people. They made us feel completely welcome. Laiju is a great communicator, and has an interest in all subjects, we talked for many hours on everything from sustainability to politics. Namitha's cooking was amazing, and I enjoyed all the traditional dishes she made! Laiju has a worldwide vision of a sustainability network, and also contributes locally within the rural community.

My husband Dan, and I, stayed at the organization for 3 weeks, with Laiju and Namitha. They were both very welcoming, and Namitha cooked wonderful Keralan food. During our time at the organization we learned about their social responsibility and sustainability projects, and became involved in rewriting content for the website, decisions on renovation for a local Anganwadi (kindergarten), monitoring the infrastructure for the new Permanent RHM Centre, visiting the organization Farm, experimental cooking in the volunteers' kitchen (pot luck with Laiju and Namitha each evening), a yoga course, and exploring the local area.

The organization is an interesting project with lots of potential to learn about sustainability. Laiju and his wife are incredible human beings, they treated me like part of the family. I was able to have my own room, good talks and delicious meals. Unfortunately I decided to leave the place earlier because the tasks were not as clear, I ended up doing more marketing content on my computer rather than learning about permaculture. We tried to discuss but I felt that things were not on alignment. If you decide to apply go with no expectations and communicate what you would like to learn. Namaste

It was indeed a treat to meet Sri Nhat. He is on a path that is seldom travelled by many. His vibes created a positive impact, and both me and Namitha enjoyed his presence and communications. We have many opportunities available at TGG Foundation, and it keeps changing from time to time based on weather. Generally, most of the natural farming activities starts from November once the rain gets over and it continues till January. Also, I spend time with each participant as soon as they arrive to understand how they wish to contribute their time, based on that the activities are created. As rightly said, expectations are always a cause of worry hence all those who visit us must walk in without any expectations with an intention to contribute their time for a greater purpose and for the benefit of all. Else the purpose of volunteering is defeated.

Volunteering at the organization has been one of the most significant experiences of my life so far, for several reasons: it took me out from my comfort zone in a very unique way (and this made me grow), I met grounded and wise human beings (and we had beautiful conversations), I got close to nature like never before, I started exploring new academic branches of interest, and I was given the space to be myself. Would definitely recommend. Thanks the organization!

Laiju and Namita were like family. From day one we connected like as if we started from where we left off. We always worked as a team to see what best could be done for future projects in mind. We cared, we laughed, we shared some beautiful moments, we comforted each other. They always took me along everywhere they went, and I so enjoyed being a part of their life for 17 days. More than anything, “We were one!”
