What an experience! The host are super friendly, made us feel comfortable and we're always there for whatever you needed. Myself and my partner felt at home straight away and ended up extended our stay. We learned so much from them, It's an eye opening, once in a life time experience that we would love to come back next year and would highly recommend.

Overall glad I joined the project, despite some frustrating things. The good parts included to see baby turtles and helped release them, practised my Spanish, experienced hot springs, dance classes and local food. The volunteer manager was so sweet and happy to help. The frustrating parts were lack of organisation, so therefore working hours wasn't planned ahead. One employee didn't show up once to the shift and access to water was limited. Would recommend coming with a friend or partner since the sanctuary is placed far from surrounding cities.

Overall I had a good time here. Some amazing moments and some frustrating ones during our 2 weeks. As for the great stuff: got to set baby turtles out into the ocean, live on the beach, bicycle through small towns, attend dance classes, explore hot springs, practice Spanish and the volunteer manager is the sweetest! The challenging part revolves around organising and information. There is no schedule and you really gotta lean into that to make the most of your stay. One employee didn't show up for most of our shifts together and we had to search out basic information regarding water supply.
