The Experience

Nowadays Georgian kids learn English at school, but older generation had Russian as second language and very little knowledge of English. People of all ages are eager to learn. You will be teaching beginners and intermediate level. Apart from that you will be asked to help with translations and online applications. Some of our people will need your one-on-one attention. We prefer you to have teaching experience.

I anticipated a wonderful stay in Zugdidi, but the reality far exceeded my expectations. I encountered numerous exceptionally friendly individuals and immersed myself in the Georgian culture to an unparalleled extent. It was truly an extraordinary experience.

This has been an incredible first experience with the Packers world for me. I've had the opportunity to immerse myself in the Zugdidi culture, appreciating its beauty and learning so much. I feel deeply grateful to have been a part of the project for a while, and meeting Laura and Sven has been a wonderful highlight

This experience was an incredible way to connect to Georgia. I made so many friends, and so many memories, that I will actually be coming back to Georgia in September as a proper teacher. The project itself is ambitious, but truly an incredible thing to dedicate time to. It has the potential for so much good, and to grow tremendously. The people you meet are welcoming and kind, in typical Georgian fashion. And Laura... This was my first experience volunteering, and I can only hope all my hosts are as incredible as Laura was! I don't have the space to talk about how amazing she is!
