The staff at reception were always attentive, and Anita—who spoke Spanish—was a huge help with communication, which made everything much easier. I had a great experience at the hostel, there was lots going on and it was super easy to meet people and make friends and all the other volunteers and staff were the best. The work was relatively simple and stuck to the hours agreed upon and the hosts were extremely accomodating with me adjusting the time of my shift and days off in order to suit my plans. The only issue I had was I was unaware that I would have to be sharing a room with guests instead of volunteers and could only have the top bunk but this wasn't a huge deal.

I had an amazing time at the hostel as a volunteer! The owners, Julien and Laura, run this place with genuine care and integrity-they are supportive and always stay true to their word. Gabby, Ana and Lyanne at the front desk are absolute gems; so friendly, helpful. They were all quick to respond and showed immense understanding during a though time for me. The community vibe here is incredible, and the entire team makes you feel right at home. Whether you're staying as a guest or joining the team, the hostel is truly a special place in Budapest!

My experience at the hostel was really unique, as the place is so cozy and you feel at home. The tasks were really easy, as it only comes to cleaning and doing beds, and you can do it at your own pace. The shifts are 5 hours long, but you can take little breaks in between. I'm so grateful I got to share with such an amazing team and volunteers, plus the incredible hosts Laura and Julien. I loved the little events and the opportunities to hang out with the team and guests. the hostel is definitely a great place if you want to get to explore Budapest, and I would recommend it.

Overall, I had a really nice experience at the hostel. The receptionists are very kind, friendly, and always helpful.
The hostel has several buildings in great locations around the city; I stayed at the "Library" building, right next to a Lidl, which was very convenient.
The working hours (5 per day) were respected, but I think volunteers could be released once the tasks are completed, as on many days the work takes no more than 3 hours. I believe this would make the exchange feel more balanced for everyone.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the experience! ✨

The hostel is a cozy hostel with great location, where you can feel free to meet guests & join conversations in the common area. The duties are straightforward, also with flexibility. A bit tough during the heat wave in summer, but things got easier when more volunteers joined. Overall I would say a unique experience as my 1st volunteer project through Worldpackers.

I stayed at this hostel for quite some time and I have absolutely no complaints. They welcomed me warmly and were always kind and welcoming, from the owners to the receptionists and the other volunteers.
The location is excellent, and personally, Library is my favorite. I loved my time there and all the people I had the pleasure of meeting. Thank you so much for your patience and the time you shared with me. I wish the hostel and its staff all the best. A big hug and best wishes!

It's a home away from home and saying goodbye to the team here will be super difficult. The chores that are to be done are always flexible and manageable. I was comfortable, content and everyone was welcoming and open!! I had plenty of time to go out and see the city too!

It feels wrong having to review the hostel because my experience here goes beyond a rating /5 :'). the staff here are so welcoming, kind & organised, and were responsive to any questions we had - i did mostly cleaning over the few sites of the hostel and the shifts were a perfect combination of productivity and fun. the other volunteers really contributed to the enjoyment of the work and i miss everyone already! if you volunteer here you will meet people from all over the world and will always have someone to have an interesting conversation with. i truly felt at home at the hostel. thank you all <3
