The Experience

In a hostel there is always a need to repaint here and there or fix small things like: cleaning the air-con, or the dehumidifier, or the drying/washing machine, fix a door handle or others like that. Also, we need to finish building an insulated house for the cats for whenever they want to spend time outside. We need English or Romanian language only to make sure we can communicate and are able to explain what we need.

The task were simple and you could ask Vera about anything. The kitchen is big and well equipped, in winter there is not to many people arriving so it wasn't too much social the hostel. The other volunteers were very friendly and we hang out sometimes

During the month I spent at the hostel, even with my busy schedule, Vera was always kind, constantly asking if I needed anything. The hostel's three cute cats were adorable and will be missed. The tasks were simple; there were seven volunteers, and we worked 20 hours a week, with four days off. Vera even organized a meeting in the second week to share our stories. She really makes an effort to ensure everyone has a great stay. I highly recommend this opportunity for anyone looking to explore Bucharest

I've stayed 26 days and those were so quiet, mainly because it was low season. The tasks as receptionist was easy going. Vera, the host, is the most welcoming and accomodating person I've met. Thanks for being so nice; and also the hostel's team was truly amazing, sharing with latinos and also from people around the world.

Great place! Vera was a true welcoming hostess, always willing to help and make the volunteers feel comfortable. The hostel is a very cozy big house, with 6 bedrooms (1 only for volunteers), reception, clean and spacious restrooms, dining room and kitchen. I really enjoyed my time in the hostel.
