The Experience

The volunteers will be part of a local team of volunteers working to collect seeds, preserve seeds, propagate seeds, transplant seedlings into small potting bags, water them daily until they are ready to plant in the local schools and community,also the volunteer will help with work in the farm by watering , harvesting weeding, soil building among st other routine maintenance practices. The works shall involve photography as well as learning.

Fue una muy buena experiencia para ambos! La casa es muy muy tranquila, no hay internet, pero llega muy bien la señal de Safaricom. Se respetan muy bien los tiempos de trabajo por lo que toda la tarde la tienes para ti; no hay DEMASIADAS atracciones, pero solo descansar e ir a ver el atardecer fueron excelentes planes. Sólo nos parece importante que sepan que el baño no es 10/10, puede ser quizás un poco incómodo ir. También pregunten antes el acuerdo respecto a los alimentos ya que en nuestro caso acordamos pagar una cuota y ellos nos dieron las comidas, pero siempre está bien llevar gusticos

Fuimos los primeros colombianos en este proyecto y nos encantó poder compartir con culturas tan distantes. Nos sentimos muy bien recibidos. El voluntariado se desarrolló como estaba planeando. Para los nuevos voluntarios recomiendo llevar un poco de comida extra y saber que el que las condiciones del baño pueden llegar a ser difíciles. Por demás el lugar es hermoso y la experiencia muy agradable! (Tener cuidado con los escorpiones, a mí me picó uno)
