I really loved my first volunteering experience! I got very attached to Enzo, and his whole family was incredibly kind and welcoming. The family always made sure we had delicious food, and their home is absolutely beautiful. I'm so grateful to the home and her family for welcoming me and giving me such a wonderful experience. My responsibilities were not too difficult, and I had plenty of free time after my working hours to explore the island. I often went to Kalyves and Chania, and had the chance to discover so many beautiful places around Crete.

Moi aussi j’ai adoré t’avoir à la maison. Tu es une personne ouverte, qui partage avec les autres qui s’intègre à la famille et a été hyper géniale avec Enzo.
Merci beaucoup🥰🥰🥰

I had a lovely time with Enzo and his family! The work was a lot of fun as we got to decide what part of the island we wanted to explore with Enzo - though I definitely underestimated the temperatures on Crete in July which also made it exhausting at times. We walked a lot but also got used to it very quickly. I also got on really well with all of the family and knew that, for any issue that came up during my stay, the family would find a solution with me. I would recommend the experience to anyone who is willing to be a part of the family and actively explore Crete !! :)

My experience was a bit different from what I expected. Taking care of the boy was an interesting and valuable experience, and I appreciated the opportunity to spend time with him. However, I personally found living with the family challenging at times due to their specific expectations regarding cleanliness and daily routines. I think this experience depends a lot on personal preferences, and what didn't work for me might work well for someone else. Overall, it was a learning experience, although I didn't always feel completely comfortable.

I learned so much from Enzo, and thanks to him I saw the world from a different perspective. Spending time with him taught me patience, understanding and how to slow down. He showed me the importance of staying calm, being present, and not taking everything so seriously. I truly enjoyed my time with him, and the experience meant a lot to me.

This experience was truly one of a kind and I am more than happy that I did it. The family accepted me immediately and I felt like I am part of them. Work with Enzo was sometimes challenging, but that is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to learn more about autism and I really did! I love the home's approach to work with autism and I am really amazed how the whole family is involved with Enzo. Remember: you will never be alone, everyone is glad to help. The whole experience gave me a lot and I am leaving with a full heart and a warm feeling. I can't wait to come back soon!
