Abel and his the hostel are truly one of a kind. He was very welcoming from the beginning and there was a family like atmosphere in the house. The work itself was easygoing and there was plenty of free time at our disposal. At this time there were no guests in the house as the hostel was taken the hostel booking systems in order to follow the vision of transforming it into a coliving space and making it less commercial overall. Abel showed is the nicest spots in Essaouira and we did different activities like wuad riding or surfing together. For a few euros extra per day we had fruits & vegs on the house.

The hostel is definitely one of the most inspiring places I've ever been. Abel creates a safe and creative environment for everyone. It ranges from amazing art, great music, Krav Maga e.g. to food that you will absolutely love as he is a great chef and also loves teaching cooking. Time flew by like crazy, but I learned so much about life and living in the present. He's really building a great community and I've been lucky enough to also meet some of his amazing friends and so many other absolutely amazing people. It really feels like family. Thanks for everything Abel, you deserve the best! 🫶

The time we spent at Abels place surpassed even our greatest expectations. He tought us so much about the culture and general way of living without pointing a finger at it. We learned through living since he included us like family in his daily life (without taking the freedom to explore ourselves of course). We enjoyed the company so much that his friends became our friends and he became like a big brother for us. A brother who who is fun and cares a lot! His place is an inspiration and the people he brings together even more! Together we did a lot of fun stuff (surfing, cooking…) Merci

Abel is a fantastic host! You feel welcome from the second you step inside. For the first few days, he takes great care to get to know the town better and make you feel comfortable there. the hostel itself is truly incredible, it is already a beautiful building in itself but the artworks hanging there take it up another level. Abel is also a very good cook and is also very willing to teach you different dishes. There are always lots of people coming over so even if you are alone you are definitely going to meet plenty of people! I experienced 2 unforgettable weeks and recomend it to everyone!
