Program Details
We’re a South African family who have lived in Mozambique since 2017. We established a Marine Protected Area (MPA) in front of our property and are looking for volunteers to help protect and grow it. Activities include diving/snorkelling, coral planting, mangrove restoration, reef surveys, community projects, environmental education and creating social media content to raise awareness and funds. Volunteers can also assist with beach clean-ups, gardening, conservation projects and other daily activities.
Activities & Shift
Volunteers will be expected to work around 6 hours per day, and get 2 days per week off to relax and explore. Depending on what type of work volunteers are expected to do, we can arrange a schedule so that volunteers know when is the best time for them to do work and when they can be free to have time off.
