I had high expectations about planting corals in Mozambique, and they were all met. My experience at Mulala the reserve Sanctuary was special. I really enjoyed the tasks, the close relationship with the family that runs the sanctuary (especially Amanda), the interaction with the other volunteers, and the opportunity to experience the local culture at the street markets and surrounding communities. I highly recommend this volunteer program to anyone who wants to connect to nature, contribute to make a real difference in the world, have fun and live some days in paradise.

I loved my time at Mulala - I learned to dive in Nacala (not included in fee) with an amazing instructor that Amanda coordinated with, because I was interested in the coral reef part of their projects. While I am really happy to have my dive certification now, there's definitely plenty else to do on the property also. They have a knowledgable team and you can see the impact they are trying to make and the passion they all share. Amanda and Johannes are the type to create a real sense of community, and they were really gracious hosts. I am thankful for this experience and everything I learned!

I don't even know where to start, because this past month here has had such an impact on me. Honestly, it was an incredible experience. The host family is just great. They gave me a very warm welcome, and the atmosphere is relaxed and cool, so you quickly feel at ease. I had few minor health issues during my stay, and thank you for everything you did. Really. You were so kind and caring, always there when I needed you. Thank you for opening your home to me and sharing your daily life. I'm leaving with lots of great memories. It's definitely the kind of experience you never forget ! 😊

This was my first experience with Worldpackers and it was amazing. Big thanks to Amanda and her family for making it unforgettable! I felt completely safe during my time at Mulala. Amanda ensured the volunteers have everything they might need and was always there to support us in any way.

We also had opportunities to learn about the local culture: through tasty meals, exploring a local market and a nearby village.

I liked that the program was diverse and we were working on various project each day. I would definitely recommend the experience!

I absolutely loved my time with Mulala. I truly felt like I was welcomed as part of the family during my time here. The work was fun and also impactful & insightful. Amanda is incredible for all that she has created with this project. Not only does Mulala prioritize conservation, but it's also very important to them to give back to the local community. I also greatly appreciate the efforts that were made to help the volunteers have an authentic cultural experience while in Mozambique by taking us into the local villages and recommending things to do/see/try. I hope to be able to visit again.

What an amazing experience to live in the Mulala the reserve sanctuary! I had a great time to improve my knowledge's and be sensibilise to the nature challenges they have. I recommend this project to anyone's who had the values of sustainability, community helping and sharing, even if your not a diver, like me. There's a lot of different projects to do and help with :)
