I had a fantastic timee for the five weeks I was there. The experience is exactly as described. We worked hard 3 days a week and enjoyed 4 days to explore the local area and relax. I took several day trips and weekends trips to national parks and beaches. It's breathtakingly beautiful and I saw a LOT of wildlif (kangaroo, koalas, wallaby, emu, etc). There's work for just about anyone, experienced or not. You become a part of the family. The hosts are welcoming and generous.

I stayed for two months with Michael and Anu and they are an amazing family to live with. They make you feel apart of the family right away. They are both extremely hard workers and Anu is also an amazing cook. Working at the guest house is a great opportunity to learn about construction and it taught me a lot of good skills that I'll hopefully use one day. I was able to get a job while staying with them so I could make some money at the same time which was nice. They are very gracious and giving people that welcome everyone! It's a great opportunity to volunteer here.
