I absolutely loved my time at Michael and Anu's! It was an incredible introduction into local Aussie culture, and I was never bored at home or at work. Michael's friends and family, who you will become well acquainted with, are all super welcoming, and Anu's cooking is delicious! The job is exactly as it's described here: we had a good mix of tasks such as gardening, weeding, painting, grinding, and welding. Michael is an experienced engineer and great teacher. There is also no shortage of things to do on your time off. Truly a unique and unforgettable experience.

Michael & Anu were very welcoming as soon as I arrived and throughout my stay. They make you feel a part of their family and give great advice of what and where to explore in the local areas on your days off so that you can get the full Aussie experience. With regards to volunteering at the guest house I thoroughly enjoyed learning how to use all of the tools and felt great satisfaction in completing tasks. Seeing the overall vision that Michael has for the place I am truly excited to see how the progress comes along and would not hesitate at volunteering again during my time in Australia

This is the first time for me to be in Australia ever. And I feel so lucky to make here as my first stop and to have Michael and Anu as my first host! Their house is nice clean and cosy. And they have made me feel welcomed and at home from the start. Anu feed us good homemade food everyday! They are interested to talk to me and treat me as one of their own. The work is just as described, where I get to learn lots of new skills! And as they love hosting their friends and families in their house, I've had the opportunity to meet lots of amazing people since I came here! Thanks for everything!

I've been to 3 hosts with world packers and this one was definitely the best! I was treated like family from the beginning of my stay to the end. Michael and Anu are down to Earth, fun and some of the kindest people I've ever met. Their house was comfortable and clean and the project was interesting and exactly like the description says. This was an awesome experience and made coming half way across the world worth every penny! I ❤️ Michael and Anu!
