I loved my time at the hotel. The staff house is right next to the lagoon in town. Great meals provided at the hotel and groceries provided at the house. Everyone was very welcoming and I felt at home straight away. We had so much fun during our time and way too many laughs. There's always something fun to do around town. We planned to stay 4 weeks but ended up extending as we didn't want to leave. A huge thank you to Yajhab and Mike for welcoming us into the hotel family. The chefs, staff and other volunteers are all amazing and we are going to miss them all. Highly recommend the hotel and Bacalar❣️🥰

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The place became a second home for me whilst travelling. The whole team is super welcoming and helpful with anything you need. The managers Mike and Yajhab looked after us very well and made us feel like part of the family. The hours are fine, the hotel is beautiful, and the work is pretty easy most of the time if you have had experience in bars/restaraunts. I highly recomend volunteering with the hotel! It really was such a fun experience!!

Loved my time in Bacalar! Highly recommend to anyone. The hours per week are pretty high but everyone I worked with was fantastic. If you're a digital nomad you may have some issues because the Wi-Fi was inconsistent. Overall amazing experience and would absolutely recommend. Thank you to the friends I made and the whole team at the hotel 🫶🏼🫶🏼

We had the best time and met great people. The hotel is beautiful and we had a lot of fun with the other volunteers and staff at the hotel. The work could sometimes be demanding or quite slow depending on how busy the hotel was, you should have some bar experience as cocktails are popular but there is also experience staff to help with this if necessary. We loved our time at the hotel and would return again one day.

Our time at the hotel was great! Yajhab is an excellent, hard-working manager who values and respects every member of staff and every volunteer. We *love* the team at the hotel (especially the chefs) who have become friends for life 💛 the work can be intense at times, but when you're working in paradise it doesn't seem too bad xx
