This opportunity is ideal for those who have a passion for cooking. Our menu, while not complex, offers a straightforward approach. With a dedicated team already established in the kitchen, it's essential that you know how to work effectively with supervisors. We value culinary skills, but the ability to work as part of a team is equally crucial. We ask that you remain humble, as maintaining the balance of the hostel environment is fundamental.

I had a great experience at the hostel. The managers really care about the volunteers, and I always felt like a volunteer, not an employee. The work is easygoing, and the hostel has a fun atmosphere with great food and drink discounts, plus a jacuzzi and sauna. My only criticism is that the schedule is longer than advertised. It says 5 hours per day, but it's closer to 6 (about 36 hours a week), which left me with less time to explore or work remotely. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place!

Wow. It's hard to sum up this month, but this was one of the best times in my life The location is perfect for a nice rest point between the cities. I came to Brazil 4 days after my final exam so living by the coast was needed. The hostel has everything you need - lovely staff and volunteers who support you and have a laugh. I've made so many friends from across the world, including a lovely girl I met from Colombia :) I can't wait to come back to the hostel with my family and show them the hidden gems of Paraty and Ilha Anchieta. Thank you for making this experience unforgettable

The experience was incredible, the hostel is a wonderful place to enjoy, make friends and volunteering makes the experience more local and familiar. I'm really grateful with the staff I worked with; Tati, Diego, Vini, Arthur, Sasa (everybody actually) and the others of the team. Unfortunately my trip changed last minute and I had to leave but I'm already planning to come back cause I'll miss them. If you're wondering how the tasks are there is a schedule for the staff and all you have to do is having fun, socialize and help them with the hostel but they really consider the fact you're WP

I had a completely unique experience at the hostel. I got to meet a lot of people coming from all over and go on crazy adventures. Vini offers a great deal on a trip to the partner hostel on Ilha Anchieta which I highly recommend. I came in knowing absolutely no Portuguese but I felt confident that everyone would work with me to bridge the gap. At times there were miscommunications about the work and what exactly the tasks are. But the management is very understanding and staff are generally helpful, as long as you put in the effort with them. I hope you consider the hostel for your trip!
