The Experience

Polymer clay is a wonderful material for artistic creation. The activity consists of preparing 'skins' for subsequent works. You will do it with me. I will explain techniques, designs and applications. The 25-hour-per-week schedule can be arranged to give you 3 completely free days. Of the 25 weekly hours, 10 will be allocated to help with field or domestic tasks. La Almazara Alta is an old house that we renovated 30 years ago.

Work: nothing to do with art/deco/social media/clay, its only cleaning and go with the dog... Room: huge, beautiful, damn cold in winter without heating (just 2 hours wow) own bathroom but always with feeling of needing sharedorm cause of guests -arrive and go by taxi-15€, no bike, no bus or car House is very cold in winter - no enjoying with 8° inside Pos: surrounding, nature calm down from city, I did many art for myself with Maria ☀️🫶🏼meals Neg: mood in the house, I left earlier cause of Macas mood swings and aggressivness, very intense. Thx for clothes and Art! Lack of communication,

Great experience, and great meeting with Lola's family, also this is only for people that get along with themselves and can be alone with the nature, don't expect lot of people with you, just you and nature and probably another volunteer, but that's it. And is awesome to learn about polymer clay with Lola, also if you are totally affected by cigarette pollution, then don't go haha, Lola smokes a lot, anyway you can tell her and she will go to an open window to not disturb you

Lola and her family were wonderful hosts! I had a great time volunteering at the home, learning about its history and various other skills including painting barbecues, constructing roads, and a lot about the art of polymer clay (Lola's speciality). I did feel that the working hours weren't the same as mentioned in the advert, but nothing too strenuous either. the home felt like home to me and all credit goes to the fantastic people there; not to forget Cody and Lisa who were the sweetest furry friends, and Leo, my fellow volunteer, w/o whom my experience would be incomplete!

I really had a great time at the home because not only fif I get to learn more about art from the spanish culture but also how to speak better spanish. The host was a very nice lady and was very patient if you made mistakes and showed you how to do things correctly. The place was very calm place and not alot of traffic could be heard.

It was my first experience volunteering, and I couldn't have asked for a better place. This place is magical, very quiet and it connects you with nature and with yourself. Lola and Maca are wonderful people who are there for anything you need. Thanks for this experience, I will be back
