The Experience

Julie and I have a small hobby farm 25kms inland from Murwillumbah. The region is sub tropical. It's a 45 minute drive from Gold Coast airport, just over the Queensland border. We are 900kms north of Sydney. There is a separate guest room in our shed with a queen size bed and en-suite bathroom/shower. We're happy to host friendly, positive travelers, who are willing to do a bit of work around the property and learn from each other.

One of the best Worldpackers experiences I've had, I wish I could've stayed longer! the home Julie are incredibly kind and hospitable, cooking delicious healthy food. The separate bedroom/bathroom is cozy, with great facilities. Work was not too difficult and I learned lots of life skills - mostly gardening in the morning and doing dishes after meals, with a beautiful view of the mountains. the home Julie took me around a neighboring town and national park, we shared many insightful conversations. I feel like I have a new home in Australia - absolutely recommend!!

Lovely stay with Julie & the home who were such kind hosts! Great talks on their travels and life/worldviews, photography, music and sustainability. Simple tasks around the house & little garden area with ample time for reading or relaxing around nature. Yummy healthy food and a nice comfortable private room with bathroom. It is a little far from town but we took trips out to explore the surroundings and going on a nice bush walk. Thank you for making my first of such experience a wonderful one!
