The Experience

The children have some basic ability to speak in English. However, Vietnamese students will struggle with their confidence to speak because they have a poor pronunciation due to their lack of contact with English speakers. They received many supports from local teacher, but we need the help from you to create the English-speaking environment for them. Our centre is nearby Hanoi Old Quarter and we will provide a motorbike for you to commute

My volunteering experience with Rosie was overall good. The whole family is lovely and welcoming, and she's a good cook! The job will be mainly about very young kids (sometimes even too young!) and, although they'll be very friendly and funny, it can get kinda repetitive. Also the working hours are very well respected, even fewer than what announced, but sometimes you'll know about your shift only the day before. Anyway, I was treated very well, and if I'll come back to Vietnam one day, I hope to visit them!
