Being a classroom assistant will give you the opportunity to deeply engage with a classroom and a teacher. This program will make you understand how life in one of our NDG school works. Volunteers will be paired with a class and aid one of our teachers in any way that is useful, whether it is to cut and glue paper into notebooks, handing out soap or toothpaste, helping kids with in-class worksheets, or homework.

I had an incredible experience at the organization. The volunteer coordinator, Brandon, was so helpful and wonderful to work with. The teachers at the school were incredibly welcoming and kind and made me feel a part of the time. The children at the school were so wonderful to work with and learn from. It was a wonderful opportunity to advance my Spanish and immerse in the beautiful culture of the organization and Ciudad Vieja. I hope to be able to return and volunteer again.

I volunteered in the school in ciudad vieja for around 2 weeks and it was such a wonderful experience. I got to interact with the kids and practice my spanish along with help the teacher prepare materials and I even got to lead a short lesson. All the kids at the school were so sweet and the teachers really made us feel welcome. I stayed in a homestay on antigua which was very nice to be right in the heart of the city and be in a home.

The host is great, the home stay was lovely. The program is more relaxed the other I have participated in. You're a TA not a teacher, which is totally ok. I would recommend learning Spanish before hand, I wish I would've done that.

I worked with the organization first and Miss Reina; they taught me so much and welcomed me with open arms. I felt very pleasant and comfortable. Estuve tres semanas de voluntaria ayudando a la profesora de Preparatoria y fue una experiencia maravillosa. La comunicación y el compromiso del equipo fue innegable y no dudaron en ayudarme en todo lo que necesite. Tuve la suerte de conocer y aprender de Seño Anita, la profe de preparatoria, en la que pude apoyarme desde el inicio.
