The Experience
If you are a friendly, outgoing person and fancy spending some time in England's friendliest and greenest city, come and join our team. Each space has been designed by a different artist, with no two rooms the same... We like our volunteers to be prepared to share all the everyday practical tasks. This role involves cleaning duties, looking after guests, putting out our breakfast & ensuring the security of the hostel at night.

My time at the hostel has been absolutely lovely! The staff and the other volunteers made me feel so welcome and at home the second I stepped foot into the hostel :) Sophie, Eiry and Rhian are amazing and were always there if I needed anything - Thank you so much for that! The working hours leave you with a lot of time to explore the city and surrounding areas. The ArtHostel is one of the cutest and prettiest hostels i've ever stayed in. Would definitely recommend volunteering here!

I had such a great time at the hostel ! The tasks are pretty easy and always well-explained by the staff (Rhian, Eiry and Sophie are absolutely lovely, and always there to help you), and the working hours allow you a lot of free time to explore the city and the surroundings. The place is cute and cozy, I felt really comfortable. Overall it was an amazing experience, I couldn't recommend this hostel more!

Arts Hostel is a place where you'll feel welcome since the first moment you arrive.. Staff is amazing, lovely, all the time there to help and to listen.! Eiry is absolutely an amazing human and I just want to say THANK YOU! Also Sofie and Rhian, thanks for the chance. And of course this place is not the same without your friends that you meet there… Maria, Lena, Sara, Louis & Fergus, you were amazing, I'll take a bit of all of you!! Hours are fully respected and you have plenty of time to go everywhere!! Don't miss the chance to volunteer here.

Its been one of the best experiences in my life, the Hostel has a laid back atmosphere, the manager Ryan and the rest of the staff is lovely, they treat you like one of them, they make you feel at home from the first moment, the tasks are super easy to follow, you will get one 8 hours shift a week and another shift in the morning which is usually short, last for over 3 hours, in that shift you help with cleaning and changing sheets. All in all, the experience is super enriching, you will meet people from all over the UK and the world, which is perfect for those trying to improve their english.

I spent an amazing month at the hostel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, making me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. Tasks assigned were more than reasonable and allowed me to contribute to the hostel's operations while still having plenty of time to explore the local area. The accommodations were comfortable and well-maintained. I met amazing people throughout my stay and will definitely miss them. Overall, I highly recommend the hostel for travelers looking for a unique and enriching experience.
