The Experience

We are looking for people who love the nature and can also take care of themselves. (especially cooking for yourself) because I might not be there on the weekends. The main help might be harvesting, weeding, fertilizing, fencing, building, and sometimes might need help on the weekends to take care of the dog

Stephen was an incredibly kind and patient host. He guided us through the work, sharing his knowledge and treating us to wonderful meals and conversations that made our stay unforgettable. His place has a magical, timeless charm that created the perfect setting for our first Worldpackers experience. The work was active but manageable, and we learned a lot about growing and selling vegetables. We'll especially miss our evenings around the table. Thank you, Stephen!

We arrived with no farming experience, and Stephen was a wonderful, understanding host. He not only taught us a lot but also shared delicious meals and meaningful conversations that we truly cherish. The place is magical and timeless, making our first Worldpackers experience very satisfying. Keep in mind that the environment is exotic and lacks city comforts. While the work was physical, it wasn't too hard, and we learned a great deal about harvesting and selling vegetables. We will especially miss our dinner with Chang Kai-shek. Thank you, Stephen!

My friend and I stayed at the farm for two weeks and it was definitely memorable! Steven is a welcoming and experienced host with excellent cooking skills. We had a lot of interesting conversations during lunch & dinner. On days off he was always coming up with ideas where we could go to explore the area by ourselves. The work itself is not too hard (mainly harvesting) but be prepared to get wet and dirty. Steven has some spare rain clothes but it's better to bring your own as well (some days you need two layers!).

The time spent here was wonderful. There was a great balance of the amount of work, breaks, downtime and many projects and extra things to do, while digitally disconnecting. Steven is a wonderful host and a particularly talented cook. You will NOT go hungry here! We were able to teach each other recipes by cooking with each other. Steven also has a great knowledge of the environment, and history of the area. The tours and activities offered were fun, informative, and a great way to experience the Taiwanese outdoors. Simple, fulfilling and fun experience. Tangyuan is a good dog :)

I really enjoyed my time at the farm, it's situated in a beautiful remote area in the mountain, the perfect place if you want to take a break from the busy world. The work was easy, and we had plenty of free time to rest or do whatever we wanted (hiking, visiting the tea factory, going to the natural water slide...). Steven is a really nice and easy going person, and he cooks amazing taiwanese food ! The dog is amazingly cute, I will miss him so much ! If you come during winter, you should bring really warm clothes because it can be very chilly and humid, especially during the night.
