The Experience

We are an NGO that founded a completely hands-off ethical elephant sanctuary. This means NO touching, bathing or feeding the elephants. Minimum stay of 2 months is required! (No exceptions) You will be the link between the founders and the volunteers, if you have excellent leading and organising skills and you want to actually be a part of the change, we are just the place for you! It's time to boost ethical tourism!

I loved volunteering at the shelter and I will always cherish the experience! I learned so much about elephants and animal tourism. The sleeping conditions were a little rough with no AC, and there was a bit more physical labor than I expected as a “tour guide”, but it was definitely worth it!

The shelter was such a wonderful place to have the opportunity to volunteer! The days were hot, long, and admittedly the cabins were not all that much refuge from the terror that was the sun. However the time you get to spend providing for the elephants and watching them eat and bathe was irreplicable. Being educated and offered the opportunity to share in the knowledge about sustainable "hands-off" style sanctuaries was amazing and I will always cherish the memories with Kamoon, Kham Phaeng, Melee, and the fantastic group of volunteers I had the opportunity to work alongside!
