The stay at Sofia, Alex and Carlita's house was a really nice exprience. I learnt something about permaculture and had the opportunity to be in a wonderful place in the middle of nature. The food was really good and Sofia brought us to visit the little pueblo of the project and we had fun spending time together:) I can only reccomed the experience!

My weeks with Sofia and the family were informative. Unlike I was expecting, I helped mostly with the florist business, spending some days in Mexico City preparing wedding flowers. The family was very welcoming and we balanced the initial long days for the weddings with less work the following week. Depending on what you organise and time of volunteer you might also just stay help at the farm. The place is pretty, there is variety of work with animals, cultivation and lots of ideas. I slept in my own tent but was provided a lot of blankets etc. Great to learn about the Mexican work ethic too!

We appreciate the time that Olga spent helping out she went along well with what we had to do at the time and needed help with. She was easy going to get along with and we would recomend her to others and hope she would visit again at a better time when we are not so busy with weddings and get to spend more time at the farm.

To have been my first volunteer experience, I felt completely immersed, welcome and embraced by the family. A journey of inner exploration, an opportunity to meet oneself, while doing the agreed tasks. A free and independent space. The food is delicious, and the dynamics feel like being part of the family. The farm is a beautiful place, full of nature, built with commitment and discipline by Sofi, Alex, and Carla. Thank you very much for having me; I would always come back, for the great lessons and experiences! I carry them in my heart 🥰

There are two words that describe the hosts: Absolute generosity. The whole family gives their best so that the experience is enriching. Sofi is a guide who is always attentive to ensure you learn and that you lack nothing, Karlita is extremely intelligent and prepares delicious dishes and Alex is a builder and a strategic, tireless farmer It is amazing how they have developed this beautiful and productive farm from scratch, and, above all, how they are totally open to sharing that experience and mentoring. I learned a lot and I keep their great affection. I hope to return very soon!

The experience has been wonderful, to the point that I extended my stay.
I recommend this volunteer work to people who truly want to learn in a theoretical and practical way about permaculture, since there are many things to do at the ranch, such as taking care of the animals, the rose bushes, the strawberry field, the garden, etc., etc.
The hosts care about your comfort and well-being. The food is delicious, healthy and filling.
The sunrise and sunset are very beautiful, and on many occasions I have had the chance to see the full moon so bright that you can walk without needing a lamp. 🫶🏼✨
