Description

We generally manage a system that helps to cover food expenses during the stay. This contribution varies between 6 and 12 dolars per day. You can feel comfortable to choose the range of contribution according to your possibilities. This contribution also helps to buy materials for the activities. Especially after the break down of a important structur, I am also depending on donations, that help me to rebuild and cover upcoming costs.

The Experience

Greetings! I'm Frank and with my own hands I'm giving life to a refuge in the middle of the jungle, with the intention of promoting a simple, natural, sustainable and, consequently, freer lifestyle. More than a volunteer program, for me this is a valuable opportunity to share knowledge and establish meaningful long-term connections. In addition, learning through the encounter with the best teacher: The nature.

The project is a very unique experience! You get to stay (as long as you like, given you contribute) in the Amazon in a little self-sustaining area, facilities built from what's available in the jungle around. You work together to live the simple life, cooking with fire, collecting materials, building, exploring the jungle, and working on little projects to sustainably increase quality of life out there. It's an experience that teaches you a lot and roots you away from all of that too-easy accomplishment we get in our daily lives - for a couple days or months I absolutely recommend it!
