The Experience

Our old farmhouse is in the middle of the Cumbrian country-side surrounded by fields and wildlife but only three miles from the shops of Wigton and eight miles from the historic city of Carlisle. My husband and I have lived here for nearly 19 years and would like to welcome people to share our wonderful home and help with looking after our hens, garden and house. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with visas and/or documents.

My stay with Wendy and Stewart was laid back and lovely. I had a beautiful room to myself and did a fair amount of work in the garden which I enjoyed. Stewart and Wendy were both welcoming and accommodating of anything I needed during my stay.

I had a lovely time at the farm. It's a very rural area, so it's perfect to go on long walks and to recharge your soul. Wendy and Stewart are super kind and made me feel welcome. I definitely recommend that place to people who wanna experience the 'quiet British countryside-lifestyle'.

I had a great time at the farm! Wendy and Stewart were very welcoming and my tasks were explained clearly and agreed upon together. I also had a lovely room to myself and was made to feel at home. I'm glad that my first Worldpackers post has been so positive and thanks again!
