This hostel is the project of Manish from Chitwan, who moved to Kathmandu to open a hostel, event space and cafe that focuses on bringing locals and travelers together. which we had to close during lockdown. This hostel was one of a kind in Kathmandu and we trying really hard to make it happrn again in chitwan in more artistic, cool and cozy- way but it's gonna take a lot of work, that's why we need your help! Manish has an amazing vision.

Manish and his family were awesome! They helped me with everything I needed. Everyday I got lunch and dinner. The only thing was kinda disappointing is the weather, it was very hot in there, so it was pretty hard to paint mural and do the other stuff outside between 11am and 18pm. I should've check the weather for the dates before. But anyway I had a nice time, we visited some cool places around, the town is small and I haven't saw any tourist around, also I was the only volunteer. And again, I was there out of the season. I feel I lived there like a local. Thank you, Manish!

We volunteered at My Friends Hostel for a month and had an incredible experience! We were immediately welcomed and included and it really did feel like a home away from home. Manish created an environment where all artists and volunteers can feel valued regardless of the different skills they have to offer and be part of a team. Furthermore, outside of the hostel we were able to experience the local culture, explore the area and meet some wonderful people. We really valued this experience and would recommend it to anyone!

The three weeks I spent at the hostel was truly a magical experience that I will never forget. Manish, his friends, and his family are all so welcoming and kind. His wife, Khushbu, is such a fantastic cook! The food is always so good. Manish is a man with soo many great ideas for Nepal, and the world. He is also always so accommodating and was so welcoming right from the start. He can also help you to see other parts of Nepal if you desire! Just let him know. I have made unforgettable memories and friends for life at the hostel. I cannot thank Manish enough for my time there.

My experience at this hostel was amazing, Manish is the most caring human and has so many innovative ideas, I really felt at home here, and his wife's cooking was Amazing, if you enjoy learning new things and art definitely come here. Such a beautiful environment !
