My time at the Guest house exceeded all my expectations. It was recommended to me by a friend Lorea (her review is below) :) The hosts family are wonderful, kind, energetic people who bring that energy to their guesthouses. The hours and work load are more than reasonable for volunteer work, and we were given private rooms, breakfast, and lunch. As well as, karaoke nights, sightseeing, and local activities. I cannot fault my time in Kōchi and can wholeheartedly recommend the guest house! ;)

I spent one month at the guest house and had a wonderful experience! I was warmly welcomed by the whole team. The working hours were very reasonable, around 4 hours a day, and the workload was well balanced depending on how busy the guesthouse was. I had my own private room, with breakfast and dinner included. I also had the chance to meet so many travelers and enjoy the amazing atmosphere of the guesthouse. It really felt like home! Thank you so much for everything! I hope to come back to Kochi one day! ❤️

Lululu is the best! My time there was really amazing. The team is great and the owners are really actively involved in providing a proper guesthouse experience to the guests. The lounge is a good place to socialise, helped by the daily music sessions, breakfast (with homemade bread!), and dinners. The work is fair and it's nice to help a bit with cooking/serving. The hours are never more than as agreed. It was also very nice to have a private room with a desk, as well as a bike (Kochi city is mostly flat). It was my favorite volunteering experience, I can only strongly recommend it!

Thank you Taro, Kayano and everyone else! We spent 5 weeks at the guest house and enjoyed every day. They made us feel like family, arranged weekly activities and just treated us very kindly overall.
The work was very fair and they always made sure that everything was alright for us. A bit of housekeeping, helping out during evening dinners and other little tasks.
The atmosphere in the guest house is great too, very relaxed and good community with having communal breakfast and dinner and of course Music Time!!! Highly Recommended if you want to visit Kochi and Shikoku

Thank you so much again for joining us! We were so lucky to have Mario and Teresa. They are hard workers and rooms after their cleaning were always perfect.
We loved their personalities too - they are chill, easygoing, respectful, and humorous, and bring such a great energy to the space. Talking to you two at the lounge, playing card games in the nights, or simply laughing at your jokes were always so much fun.
We recommend collaborating with them to all the owners.

Great experience overall! The owners Taro and Kayano are kind and welcoming, communication in English is easy, and the atmosphere is very friendly. The work is light, and both breakfast and dinner are included. I met lots of interesting people, and they even provide a bike to get around. The riverside near is beautiful for walks. Highly recommended!

All of the staff at guesthouse the guest house were truly so nice and welcoming! It was very easy to feel at home and all of the other volunteers were also lovely. It was really nice to have social events like a takoyaki party during my stay.

The room I was in was spacious and private, plus the free breakfasts and dinners were a decent money-saving bonus! The work schedule was set out about 1week in advance and can range from 7-10am, 10-1pm or 6-9pm shifts depending on if you prefer cleaning vs. cooking.

My experience at the guest house was amazing. Taro, Kayano, Tomoyo, Risa and all the staff were super welcoming to us volunteers. The work it's simple and they explain everything to you in advanced, plus they respect the work hours, allowing you to explore the small yet beautiful city of Kochi. Hirome market is just 20 minutes away by tram and you can find very delicious food there. Also, on your days off you can go and explore more places in Shikoku Island! Overall, the guest house is a great place to volunteer, specially if it's your first time doing so. The host's will welcome you with opened arms!

Kochi is a small town. If you like a slow and quiet life, please come here! All the staff here at guesthouse is really friendly—Taro, Kayano, Tomo, Lisa, Masa. They often chat with us, recommend great restaurants, and drive us to the downtown. Jose and Emily are super nice too, and we had such a good time together. My room is pretty spacious and cozy. The curry they offer every day is delicious, and there's a Lawson nearby, which is really convenient. ありがとうございます😊

The guest house was a great experience! The work was easy and it was fun to bake bread for dinner. Taro, Kayano and everyone there was super nice and I spent a really great month in Kouchi! The live music and curry everyday were really enjoyable. Kouchi is a quiet city but the surrounding nature is beautiful and you can still have fun downtown! Also everyone helped with my japanese learning, which was really helpful.I would definitely recommend the guest house to anyone!
