I'm quite flexible, and basically the role involves helping with the reception and cleaning of the rooms. Regarding the schedule, I can discuss it with my volunteer first, and usually the hours are in the morning or until late afternoon, but everything is arranged so the volunteer can make the most of the city.

Wallace and Nicole are excellent hosts. They were very welcoming from the first day until the last. They are ready to help whenever you need it and their communication is great to respond to any questions you may have.
They also gave us some great insights about Ouro Preto and what we could do on our days off.
It was an great experience working with them and I highly recommend the experience to anyone who would like to get to know Ouro Preto.

The time I spent at Vila Rica Hostel and Inn brought a great gain to my personal development, in addition to providing me with a deep connection with the local culture and with the people around. Communication with Wallace and Nicole is fast, clear, and very respectful. They have a special affection and care, always concerned with the volunteer's well-being. A great place for a peaceful stay, well located, very comfortable, a private room or at most shared with one or two people, a beautiful viewpoint and the friendliest hosts I've ever had, very approachable, they offer tours if available, very polite and friendly, the work is quite easy to do.. My experience at the inn and hostel was very pleasant, the location is very good, it is next to Ouro Preto's main gold mine and near one of the main churches designed by Aleijadinho. I would like to thank Wallace and Nicole who are the hosts there and are always willing to help and answer any questions about the tasks and whatever else is needed! This was my first volunteering experience and I learned a lot from it!

The inn is very comfortable and the location is good, you can do everything on foot. The work was simple and well directed by Nicole and Wallace via WhatsApp, with the organization of the check-in and check-out of the rooms. I had a brief contact with Natália, who proved to be very friendly and welcoming. They cared about my well-being. I stayed only 1 week, but it was a fruitful period to get to know a little bit of Ouro Preto. I hope to return as soon as possible. Hugs, everyone 😘
