Iya and Sandro were lovely host and always made sure that I felt comfortable! Living in the middle of the rainforest was definitely an experience. I had my own little house which I shared with their adorable cat Peanut. Cleaning in the forest is definitely very different to what I was used to, so it was a bit more challenging in the beginning. But Iya made sure to explain everything to me and give me feedback!
It is in the middle of nowhere but I enjoyed the quiet and peacefulness there and the views were amazing!

Really enjoyed my time at the eco village, I would've stayed much longer if I could! The work was unstructured and random at times- which was fine with me- but if you need constant directions and reassurance this probably isn't for you. Iya is usually very busy so you have to take initiative! We had an abundance of fresh food in the kitchen which was wonderful, the other volunteer and I really enjoyed cooking meals together. It's definitely more like staying with and helping out a family rather than it is working for a business. Hoping to return one day!

Iya and Sandro are lovely and welcoming. However, communication sometimes wasn't respectful, hours were not honoured and expectations of the amount of work to be completed within a timeframe was excessive. The property is lovey, however there's not much to do there- I wouldn't recommend for anyone without their own vehicle.

We had the most lovely time at the eco village! They were beyond welcoming and really took us in as family. It was defiantly an exchange, we worked really hard in exchange for this beautiful stay and it was 100% worth it. We worked hard because of how lovely the host were, we honestly wanted to help them. I cleaned the chalets between guests, and Matthew did gardening. We were also trusted to look after there gorgeous son! He is such a bundle of joy and lovely to look after. We were there for just over 3 weeks and if we had a car, we would have stayed longer. It's in the middle of nowhere by the way!

Iya is a nice host with good communication. She always explained what to do and respected my itineraries. She has high standards for work, as the accommodations here are not cheap. It might be challenging for people with no experience at the beginning, but things get easier after a few days. As long as I finished my tasks for the day as agreed, I had full control over my time.
