We had a wonderful volunteering experience. Manja, Norbert and their children made us feel at home from day one. The work is light and well organised, and the atmosphere is calm and welcoming. Their sweet dogs and cats keep you company and really become part of your daily life.
The place is peaceful and a bit remote, perfect to slow down and reconnect with yourself, and you still have plenty of time to explore the Costa Dourada.
Even though it was not part of the tasks, I loved learning so many things from Manja, who is an amazing cook and very creative in general. Thank you!! 🫶🏻

The entire family is amazing and will make you feel like you are at home. Manja, Norbert, and their son are on site. Their two younger children help with Noma (the restaurant) on the weekends and couldn't be more lovely. Their two dogs will likely adopt you - Momo & Klaus - and will take you on local tours of the coast 🤣. The work is as advertised- 4 hours a day - and includes lots of sweeping !! - (but bonus - it's a fantastic workout!) and making beds, cleaning surfaces, raking leaves from time to time, and laundry, etc. but it's all doable. I high Ly recommend this placement.!!

My experience at End of the World was incredible. I was warmly welcomed by Manja and Norbert, who are wonderful people, generous, with a big heart; they are very friendly and fun. They took me to Itaúnas, which I wanted to visit, and they gave me a day off to go to a party there 🫶
The work is calm and easy, they respect the schedules and are flexible
I stayed in a room by myself, very comfortable, with a balcony and a beautiful view 😍
And I have to say, the pizza is sensational!! Breakfast was delicious. They do everything on the spot with a lot of care 🥰
Just go 💕

From the first moment I felt welcomed, with warmth, respect and a very light energy. An environment with calm, generous people and good-hearted. Manja inspired me in cooking, with incredible recipes!!! Manja, Norbert, Moritz and Emma, I am grateful for everything, for the conversations, for the moments shared and for making me feel so at ease. I leave here with a warm heart and a heart full of gratitude. Tip, go to the beach at 5:30 to watch the sunrise, the end of the world keeps paradise, here life is light and the day is the happiest. We recommend with eyes closed, we even want to come back!

Our experience as WorkPackers in Costa Dourada, Bahia, was far beyond work; it was a true encounter with purpose, learning, and human connection. We had the honor of sharing life with Nobert and Manja, extraordinary, intelligent, and generous people who taught us much more than tasks: they shared values, vision, and wisdom with natural ease and by example. Carol and I felt honored and, in many moments, part of the family, taking care of everything with affection and dedication. What a privilege to experience something like this. What a privilege to meet people like this along the way.
