I had a wonderful experience at HI. All of the staff and managers were very sweet, considerate, accommodating, and welcoming. I can't believe how fortunate I am to have met so many lovely people with fun personalities during my stay. I felt very comfortable living here in the China town district. There were many sites to see and parks to relax at which is a major plus to me.

What a great place to volunteer while getting to know Seattle, I felt very welcomed since my first day, the team is really nice and respectful, everything is organized and the task are easy. You will have everything you need, a great kitchen, plenty books to read, great location next to the station, lockers, elevator etc...I feel really grateful that I was accepted to collaborate and improve my English with the team. Thank you!!!

I had an amazing experience at the hostel (HI Seattle). The host and the staffs were all very nice people, as the other work traders I met there. The shift was just according to the description here with housekeeping activities for 4 times a week alternating with 3 free days to walk around and do your own stuffs. I truly recommend the place, especially for the first time as worldpacker.

People always asked me why I chose Seattle and my answer was always were you ever a Grey's Anatomy fan? Because tbh, I waited half my life to see "Seattle Grace's" exterior building on location: aka Komo Plaza. My last Worldpackers, we also binged Grey's so it was all very ironic. If you're staying in Seattle for the first time and you're on a budget. HI Seattle is the place. If you're doing Worldpackers, and Seattle is your destination -- HI Seattle's the only choice. They have the organization, the elevators and carts (very helpful!), the fans (for hot days) during your chores.
