Volunteering here has been an amazing opportunity to get to know local culture in Hanoi, meet great people and develop teaching skills. It's extremely well managed. The staff are professional and friendly. Living with the students means they get lots of practice speakingthe home with you. You can connect, share food, share experiences and get to know others' perspectives. There was a great mix of international volunteers to get to know. Highly recommend if you're flexible and comfortable with navigating shifting social dynamics amongst teens and adults of differerent ages and cultures.

I felt very welcomed by both the Enghouse staff and the students, and I had a lovely time there teaching and immersing myself in the culture!

My experience was likely a little different from others because I decided to stay in a nearby accommodation rather than the Enghouse itself, which I appreciate the hosts for allowing me to do so. The work for me consisted of about 1 main class per day lasting 1.5 hours, sometimes alongside a short 1 hour informal chatting session. I would usually spend a few hours the day before creating activities/worksheets for the main lesson. This was my first time teaching and leading classes independently, and while this was a new challenge for me, I learned a lot about teaching. I would recommend.

My partner and I stay here for 2 weeks and had an amazing time. The staffs were welcoming, and the students are friendly. We went out with the students a few times during our stay and had a lot of fun. The work was straightforward. They have a cat and a dog there which we enjoyed spoiling a lot. The main con for me would be that you need to shower at noon for the water to be warm since the water heater is powered by solar panels.

My partner and I spent two weeks here and had an absolute blast while teaching the local communitythe home! The staff was very welcoming and inclusive with volunteers. We were invited to occasional dinners or weekend activity with the students and staff like badminton on Sundays. We taught about 4-5 classes a week where the students were incredibly engaged and enthusiastic about practicing theirthe home! A lot of students were extremely welcoming, inviting us to go karaoke and go drinking on the weekends. Overall, this was an amazing experience with a dog and cat to keep us company!
