If you're looking for a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of big cities, I highly recommend Ipoh. Joe is an exceptionally friendly and welcoming host who can guide you to all the town's hidden gems—from affordable local eateries to popular tourist and cultural spots. Bicycles are available for use, and most attractions are easily reachable by bike. The only downside is that the house is close to a small airport, so you'll occasionally hear and see planes taking off and landing.

My experience in Ipoh was really good, Joe is a friendly host, super flexible. If you want to see a Malaysia lifestyle I recommend, Ipoh have many options for food, probably one of the highlights.

Joe was an amazing host! He showed us around Ipoh, recommended lots of places to see and where to eat. He let us us bikes to move around the city. He has a big garden with lots of interesting fruit and veg. It was great to learn about them. He was giving clear instructions on what to do every day. He was a very welcoming and friendly host.

Joe was a wonderful Host. He's is very flexible regarding on the times to do the supporting works. He is very proud of his town so he showed us plenty of local places and local food that were completely delicious. I recommend him as a host 100%. P.S.: regardless there's not meals included it's easy to find very tasty food for an absurdly low price.

It was a really nice experience, Joe is a wonderful host. He actually cares about the travelers can know about the local culture and food. The tasks in the house were easy and you have plenty of time to go out with Joe or by yourself cycling around the town. Also, it was very nice to meet and share with Joe's siblings and his friend Phillip. Ipoh is a place that I would recommend to visit, is a multicultural city, have delicious food and people is very friendly. And last but not least, I have the opportunity to learn a very interesting things about gardening, thanks to Joe.
