The Experience

Hi there, we are a big friendly family who find peace in our large countryside space with our three energetic dogs, two free range toddlers and many a project. Come and get stuck in to help rebuild a large workshop and honey room where some experience in carpentry would be great but not essential! Depending how long you stay there will be opportunities to get out in the garden/veg patch, help with beekeeping and explore what Devon has to offer!

A very lovely experience! Simon, Caroline and their family are very nice and make you feel part of the family, they worried a lot about our wellbeing and even took us with them to visit beautiful places around Devon. The work is easy, varied and you will learn a lot about building and bees. You can also always help in the garden or in the kitchen. The dogs are also always happy to play with you... You definitely won't get bored in Granny's the home!!

It was an incredible stay, at first, his daughter and her family took us to a camping in the coast for 2 nights, giving us everything we needed, like food or a tent. Simon was always working with us like a team, letting us do breaks and rests during the work. Also the work was as expected (bee-keeping, building and gardening), we helped him extracting and processing the honey, building the workshop and weeding in the garden. Simon and Caroline also took us to any places that we needed, to buy anything or also to visit Plymouth and Dartmoor. Ash will stay forever in my heart, thanks for all! <3

My experience at Granny's the home was excellent, the truth is that I felt at home, everyone was very friendly, I have very nice memories and above all learning about bees with Simón was something spectacular, it was my first experience and it was very nice.
