My experience at the house in Sanremo was really great. The view is beautiful, the tasks are well defined, and the schedule is excellent, with most of the work taking place in the morning, which makes it easy to explore the region on day trips by train even on days when there are tasks.
The family also welcomed me very warmly. Jaro is very understanding, Cindy is very fun, and the children are lovely. I hope to come back someday and stay longer.

My friend and I had our first Worldpackers experience here and it was absolutely unforgettable. Jaro is a one of a kind host who treated us with respect and genuinely cared about making sure we experienced and explored the area. The work was exactly what we agreed on, challenging at times but always rewarding, and we felt supported and respected throughout. After work, he often had ideas for things to do or took us on excursions, which made the whole stay feel exciting and memorable. Staying with Jaro made our first Worldpackers experience truly special and something we'll always remember.

The stay in Sanremo with Jaro was truly unforgettable. From the day we arrived, we were treated with respect and kindness. Jaro pushed us to do spontaneous things, like jumping in the cold plunge, riding the back of his motorcycle, taking day trips with him down the coast of Italy and France, these things really made the trip incredible. The work was what we had agreed to, and felt very rewarding every day upon completion. Jaro was a one of a kind host, we couldn't have asked for a better first Worldpackers experience, and I feel as though I truly gained a new friend.

Hi James,

thank you for all the hard work and fun times exploring Italy during your stay. You guys are amazing and welcome back anytime.

I am truly sorry for the review which didn't register on your profile, I posted it before you guys left so I am 100% sure it is a problem on the website. I am in touch with Worldpackers support and hope they sort it out.

Have fun exploring Europe and hope to see you sometimes in the future.

Note:I did leave early last min due to an emergency. The family is nice , but honestly, I felt like there was a power dynamic between me and them. There was times I felt isolated . I did not feel welcomed. I don’t think that they are malicious. I do think we were not right fit. Maybe they just saw me as someone who was working for them, but I did not feel like my opinion or feelings mattered most times maybe it would have gotten better if I had gotten past a certain point but I had to go.

We were genuinely surprised by this review. It is our first negative review; every previous review has been 5 stars, and we urge future travelers to read them. She had her own private bedroom, shared meals with our family and joined us when we went out. Despite our own difficult experience, we gave her 5 stars. She then left at very short notice citing an emergency. We strongly disagree with her account and, in hindsight, regret not warning other hosts. We would not recommend hosting her.

I had a really lovely experience with this family. The two kids are adorable, polite, and respectful. It was such a pleasure to spend time with them. The tasks they gave me were always clear, which gave me peace of mind and allowed me to manage my time well. We shared many enjoyable moments together and also had time to explore places on my own. They even showed me around to discover other spots, which made the experience even more special. During my last days, I felt very supported and cared for by them, something I truly value. This is a family that genuinely needs and appreciates the help
