I had a really nice stay in Punta Arenas! Gustavo is a super cool host, he takes care of you and cooks delicious meals! The working hours are fair and the work is totally doable :) I practiced my Spanish here and got in contact with travelers from other countries. I was there in off season, so maybe it's more stressful during high season, but I would definitely recommend the place for volunteers. It's also nice to discover the area around Punta Arenas :)

I really enjoyed my time at the hostel. Gustavo and Cat are so welcoming , friendly, and generous 🤗 I really enjoyed getting to know them and the volunteers. The working hours were reasonable for the benefits we were given. It's a very lovely hostel!

My experience at Haikén Hostel was very positive and I would definitely recommend. The hours are good, the atmosphere is homely and Gustavo is a very nice host. Of course the two lovely dogs make the stay complete.

The experience at the hostel has been great. Gustavo is super kind and a very nice person to spend time with. I was able to meet other travelers from other places around the world and practice my Spanish. The tasks are simple and Gustavo is very flexible to accommodate any needs and preferrences. Recommended for anyone who wants to explore Punta Arenas and is looking for a cultural exchange experience:-)

Hermosa experiencia en el hostel! Gustavo, Thor y Nala pronto te suman a su manada. Gustavo es un gran anfitrión, muy buena persona, te ayuda y asesora en todo lo que necesites para disfrutar a pleno de la ciudad. Las actividades son acorde a lo solicitado, Gustavo te explica con mucha paciencia para que puedas llevarlas a cabo. Es un lugar muy familiar y tranquilo. Las charlas con Gustavo son muy divertidas. Y el parcito Thor y Nala se ocupan de que tengas mucho amor para toda tu estadía y el resto de tu viaje. Agradezco haber compartido con ustedes!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
