The Experience

Hi I'm an older retired woman who loves hosting the right person, someone who might join me for my morning dip in the ocean pool and share some stories over a shared meal I'm requiring general housework, and help in my vegetable garden, weeding and composting. There's not much work to be done, usually a couple of hours a day.

Staying at Kari's is a priviledge, not a utility. During my stay she made it possible to discover the home like a true local, including morning swims, trivia nights and many more adventures. In return she expects you to respect her space and to obey the small amount of house rules. Her character is honest, outspeaking and unique, which is not for the weak. In case you feel flexible enough to adapt a certain lifestyle, Kari provides the most unforgetable experience of your Australian stay, but if you fail you'll find yourself in a less lovely position. Personally, I owe her only gratitude

What an incredible experience it was with Kari , I had such a wonderful time I extended further I spent 7 weeks here enjoying great conversations and sharing stories , learning new skills on how to cook and bake , the tasks are not too much , we started most mornings with a swim in either the home , pool and the sea , we enjoyed trivia nights together and became such good friends and will stay in touch and see each other again , Karis experience felt homely and friendly, and I would highly recommend this experience to genuine people who love connecting and sharing time , thank you Kari

I had a lovely time in the home, we enjoyed a morning swim together everyday which was amazing and all ate dinner together in the evenings so it felt like a little family. There isn't much work to do and Kari is happy for you to go out and explore once you have done your jobs. It's important to note that if you accidentally do something wrong/ not how Kari would have done it then she will scream and swear at you, this occasionally made the house not a very nice environment. You need thick skin. Overall I enjoyed my stay :)

Kari is an excellent host, she takes you to different tourist places like beaches, lunches and even invited me to a show at the botanic garden with a spectacular view of the opera house and Sydney CBD, the tasks are easy to do and don't take to long to complete, the house is close to a beautiful beach, there are certain house rules that must be followed, if you respect them there is nothing to worry about it, I definitely hope to return to this place.

My time with Kari was just a wonderful experience!!! I loved spending time with her, she's such a fun person to be around with and she always had a crazy or interesting story to tell. We often cooked and ate dinner together and talked about anything. The work was completely manageable and was mainly just usual housework. There are no specific working shifts you usually just get something done whenever there is something that needs to be done. Thank you Kari that you were so generous to me. I will cherish the moments I made in the home forever. I will definitely come back and visit.🫶🫶🫶
