The Experience

My name is Watchara and I have been a tour guide for 10 years. I am a former Buddhist monk and school with experience in teaching meditation techniques. I am offering a unique Thai experience that allows me to be a part of your wonderful trip to Thailand. The facilities are simple but clean, with a shared toilet and washing facilities, and small bamboo thatch roofed houses for sleeping. There is no electricity in the farm.

Living at the farm for a week was truly a fantastic experience. Learning from the farm about meditation and Buddhist practices was both relaxing and informative. Dangs delicious vegetarian cooking was super fresh and the farm, using locally grown produce. The work was very minimal, usually doing a few hours before noon, when it started raining and we would all relax. Overall, the week was very rejuvenating as well as an authentic immersion ane into Thai culture. I am very grateful for the farm and his family for having me for the week! Bring toilet paper, power bank, and bug spray as well

The farm was an incredible experience! The welcoming family, Dang's incredible cooking, and their inspiring Buddhist teachings made it unforgettable. Living in the serene countryside alongside a Thai farming family was truly eye-opening and something I will never forget. Remember to bring a torch, power bank, toilet paper, and bug spray. Also even though there's no electricity, you can ask them to charge your phone before you go to bed and it'll be fully charged by the time you wake up! I honestly couldn't recommend this unique farm stay more!

The farm was my first volunteer experience and it was nothing short of what I hoped volunteering on an the farm in the mountains/jungle would be like. You're super immersed in nature and are living alongside a local Thai family in their everyday life. You'll be fed well, learn a lot of new hands-on skills, meditate, and (hopefully) find peace in your surroundings during the entirety of your stay. I'd highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to really get an idea of how a local Thai family lives sustainably on an the farm
