The Experience

My name is Watchara and I have been a tour guide for 10 years. I am a former Buddhist monk and school with experience in teaching meditation techniques. I am offering a unique Thai experience that allows me to be a part of your wonderful trip to Thailand. The facilities are simple but clean, with a shared toilet and washing facilities, and small bamboo thatch roofed houses for sleeping. There is no electricity in the farm.

I really enjoyed my time here at the farm. The work was fun and felt rewarding and the time off of work was very relaxing and a nice change of pace from the routine I am used to. There is a lot you can learn from living here and participating in the work that locals do. It was a very valuable experience that I would recommend to everyone! the farm and his family are amazing hosts and I am grateful to have been able to meet them and spend time at their farm.

At first I thought how should I survive here, but after 1 Day I got used to the primitive and slow lifestyle of the farm's Farm. There was always enough food as Dang was cooking every morning, noon and evening. We also had fresh papayas and bananas from the farm. Working hours were fair and fun. I recommend this place for everyone who wants to slow down, enjoy the easy life and just chill (besides work of course).

Definitely one of the more unique experiences i've had. The primitive lifestyle without electricity and other usual comforts took some time to get used to, but quite rewarding to experience. Dang is the sweetest lady ever, she took special care of all of us and even brewed me a special herbal remedy when i got sick. Much gratitude to her 🫶 Tip for future volunteers: if you're trying to head to Pai after, a couple of us had good fortune heading to Mae Rim first via the yellow bus, and then hitchhiking on the main road from there.

I am very grateful to have this experience at the farm's farm. Thank you the farm & family for how welcoming and kind you were. Dang has impressed both us with her amazing cooking (the best Khao Soy!) & how generous she is, thank you for looking after us :) Phone is a ray of sunshine & brightened our day. Thank you the farm for teaching us. We learnt a lot - farming, building, meditation, local culture. I am glad I graduated 'High School'! The workload is very fair & interesting with free time. I highly recommend this volunteering experience at the farm's Farm🤍.
