The Experience

I'm a separated man and my children stay one week with me and one with mother. Help isn't only babysitting but different way to stay with children and in a family with single father. I prefer people like stimolating my children with something manual, artist as painting, reading, sport and other interests in common with them. In the week children are with me helps is more tiring, in the week children are with mother there are less things to do.

The home was a great host. He picked me up from the airport even though I arrived late, and at the end of my stay he also took me to the bus station. He made me feel very comfortable in his home, introduced me to his friends, and took me to visit beautiful places. The work was easy, the agreed hours were respected, and the location made it easy to get to Palermo's historic center. I had to leave earlier than planned, and he was very understanding. Asia is lovely, and I really enjoyed meeting her and spending some time with her. It was a very good experience.

My first Worldpackers experience couldn't have been better. the home and his family made me feel at home from day one. He is organized, supportive, and flexible, which was perfect since I work and study while traveling. The tasks were simple, and spending time with Nonna Cecilia was the highlight of my stay. Knowing some Italian is helpful but not essential. Thanks to the family, I improved my Italian and experienced the local culture. I would gladly come back and highly recommend this host!

This was my first volunteering experience and I can say that staying with the home and his family made the beginning of this new chapter so much easier and gave me a lot more confidence. the home always makes volunteers feel comfortable, both in the house and with the daily tasks. He's very flexible, explains everything clearly, gives great tips about how to get around and what to visit, and is always willing to help. His summer place is truly a peaceful place where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to live with a local family!

The home is a very experienced traveler, so staying at his place felt like truly multicultural and enriching experience. From the beginning, he made me feel comfortable and trusted me by welcoming me to his home and letting me share time with kids and pets. He often cooked which made everything even more enjoyable. The experience was quite flexible in terms of tasks, easy to adapt and there was no pressure. I also really appreciated having the weekends completely free, which gave me plenty of time to explore. The house is very comfortable and overall I felt at ease during my whole stay.

My time in Palermo was incredible! I couldn't have asked for a better place to do my first Worldpackers! the home has a lot of experience hosting people so you will feel like home since the moment you arrive. He introduced me his family and friends, he cooked for me and we shared thoughts and laughs. Work was simple, just helping him at home with his family. The kids (Asia and Bruno) are very nice and polite. Bruno is a teenager, so he is very independent and Asia is a lovely girl. As he has traveled around the world, you'll find always a topic to talk about. I recommend this experience 100%
