Welcome to Natural Hostel in the picturesque village of Himare. Surrounded by beautiful nature, the hostel is a peaceful retreat, just a 7-minute walk from the crystal-clear, blue beach. Volunteering with Serxho and the other volunteers at the hostel was absolutely the highlight of my time in Albania, the atmosphere at the hostel is so welcoming and you really create a great community with volunteers and guests! Work was in the morning and evening helping with breakfast/dinner and changing beds. You then had most of the afternoon free to go to the beach and explore the surrounding area. Highly recommend this position and hope that I will return next summer, miss you the hostel!

I really loved my time at the hostel and could have spent all summer here had I not had other plans. Sergio is so kind and flexible and taught me a lot about Albania and food! He's a great cook and I felt like I was a part of a family here. The work was fun for me and didn't feel much like work and I liked that everyone works together so tasks get done quickly. Himare is beautiful and there is so much to do. The local beach is stunning and the hostel is small and has a friendly social vibe without being a party hostel. Sergio is around majority of the time and a quick communicator!

Sergio makes this place feel like home away from home!! I would recommend this experience to anyone…he has created something special making it hard for guests and volunteers to leave. As my first volunteer experience it truly exceeded my expectations :)

I loved Himarë and the hostel's atmosphere, but my experience was more negative than positive. The listing promised 5-hour days and 2 days off, but I often worked 6–8 hours with only 1 day off. Any concerns were dismissed as needing to be "flexible." Serxho became increasingly aggressive, especially toward younger volunteers. Training was minimal, communication was poor, and volunteers were left to solve problems caused by overbooking. I wouldn't recommend this hostel for young volunteers or anyone uncomfortable with being yelled at.

Had an unforgettable time volunteering at the hostel! Serxho is a fabulous host and cares deeply about the hostel and the guests. The vibe is so communal and welcoming and the food is absolutely incredible! This volunteer experience definitely takes work but is so worth the effort! Leaving Albania with a bunch of new friends and a place I will forever think of as home <3

I received Halle for two weeks like a volunteer and I can say that was really good to have her. She is very friendly and committed on the daily working hostel. We had such a great team of volunteers in which Halle played a great role. She knows how to work in group. Thank you Haley
