The Experience

Hi, we are looking for help during the olive season with cleaning, washing and ironing along with some cooking. The work can be flexible but we currently have the role set to 3 days off, so the 4 days working would be 3-4 hours in the morning cleaning and laundry followed by 1-2 hours early evening serving drinks and canapes or preparing dinner. Hopefully you have a few killer dishes, if so let us know your style/preferred regional cuisine.

My experience at the home was truly a dream come true. I had the best time, feeling so happy and peaceful throughout my stay. The house I stayed in is absolutely beautiful, and the surroundings are stunning. Amy and Matt are wonderful hosts, both kind and friendly. I enjoyed cleaning the mansion and cooking for them and their family, which was a memorable highlight for me as a cook. I look forward to returning someday. I sincerely thank Amy and Matt and appreciate everything they did for me, including the opportunity to volunteer at their beautiful place. I highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed my time at the home. Amy and Matt were welcoming, flexible and respectful throughout my stay, and I appreciated being able to experience their beautiful property and the peaceful surroundings of Provence. the home is a lovely place to spend time, surrounded by nature and with a slower, quieter rhythm that I really enjoyed. I was grateful for Amy and Matt's generosity in hosting me and for the respect and consideration they showed during my stay. Thank you both for having me at the home. I'm grateful for the experience and for the time I spent there.

Matt and Amy were very welcoming and great with clear communication and direction. They offered a nice variety of work that was flexible in timing. The guest house is idyllic, super spacious bedrooms rooms and kitchen living, with a beautiful outlook onto the fields. The nearby town has everything you need and a lot of organised free events too. I spent a lot of time at the local lake to beat the summer heat, and lovely morning strolls with the hot air balloons around. It was the perfect retreat into provence life!

Amy and Matt are very kind and attentive. The assigned tasks are related to maintaining the garden and helping around the house (housekeeping), nothing complicated, and the schedules are flexible. The house they provide is super lovely and comfortable; you have everything you need to feel at ease (kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine). The region is very beautiful and peaceful, and there’s a lake nearby. The city center is just a 10-minute bike ride away. It was a very positive experience, and one I would definitely repeat.

Very cool place, the property is big and often needs very boring repetitive tasks but I think the work was fair for the exchange. I will say if you have a fear of bugs this place is NOT for you, also a VERY dusty property. Overall the hosts are super flexible and nice I would note extra that they do not provide meals and the groceries in this town are very expensive and so are the limited restaurants. If you are looking for a quiet space to clear your head this is a good space. If you want an exciting experience or a communal one I would look else where. Also the if you I enjoyed my stay!
