The Experience

We want someone communicative and proactive to do basic cleaning and be available for guests who go out at night and get back late or late arrivals. English might be the main language spoken with guests and Portuguese with the rest of the staff. Some tasks may include check-ins, check-outs, making reservations and cleaning the pool, basic bathroom cleaning, and controlling the bar stock. We offer 3 days off in a row.

My time in the hostel passed so fast, that I wished I could have stayed longer. Having Luciano and Bruna as hosts was really nice because they were welcoming and caring (still when I was sick). The hostel offers the best conditions to see the waterfalls, get to know locals and learn (for me the first time) about the tasks in a hostel. I really liked the interaction with the guests and enjoyed being trusted to do this work. Negative: the volunteers room is really humid and even though the cat Franky is sweet he leaves some smells. All in all I learned a lot about myself and met many inspiring

I honestly have to say that this is one of the best places to go volunteer here in Brazil! Highlights: -The room for volunteers has air conditioning. Hard to find in Brazil. -The place has a pool, perfect for sunny days and also provides the opportunity to go join the tours when available. -The hosts! Since this is a place for tourists to chill/have fun, be ready to come with all your good vibes to keep this place running and make it special for you, the tourists and the staff!

Bruna and Diego are awesome hosts ☀️From my side, it was the first time that the host was really interested in volunteers. They shared their food, experience and a pleasant atmosphere with us. You can feel at home here. In Foz I enjoyed the bike rides, which were always available to me for free and thanks to them I also went to the waterfalls by bike with a guide, which was a great experience and I learned more about the nature around. Muito obrigada por tudo 🩵

It was my first Worldpackers experience, so I can't compare. All in all it was a good experience. The workload matched the stated amount on Worldpackers. I enjoyed that the hostel is offering a lot of trips which you can join for free.
