Volunteering here was a very unique experience. You really got immersed with the locals and got to know many people in the community. I was helping in the community centre to cook food for underprivileged families (although lack of government funding left us without food a bit but that’s a bigger political issue). Pablito/Fernanda and Gustavo, who organised the volunteering, and the others in the community centre were so sweet and made me feel very welcomed and loved. The neighbourhood was apparently a little unsafe but usually I felt okay. I recommend this for an authentic locals experience!

The Foundation the project is an institution with a high impact in the region, and its activities mark its long trajectory. Gustavo is sociable and is very attentive to the well-being of the volunteers. It has been very gardable to know his trajectory and his personality; he has a good sense of humor and makes the work have other viewpoints and other perspectives; he is always very attentive to whatever is needed. It has been an experience that has allowed me to know the culture and the community; I feel very satisfied with the good treatment and the human closeness.
