I had the best time volunteering at the guest house! The team were super fun to work with, and the work is very chill and enjoyable. Zul is a great host, and made me feel at home and comfortable during my stay. Had the best time exploring the area and doing different activities, as well as enjoying the relaxing and chill lifestyle. A great opportunity to learn about coffee and Malaysian culture. I don't know where to start! This experience has been amazing and Zul is a great host. The work at the coffee bar is social and fun. Zul is very attentive and always made sure I was comfortable during my time there. Zul is very open to suggestions and projects that can be implemented in the community ie: running club, street clean-up. He has done a lot of work building such a good community in the village and it shows. Great opportunity to immerse yourself in village style slow living and culture. Be curious and open-minded! Volunteering with the guest house was one of the best experiences I had so far! The work is super fun and chill, especially with the team in the café which is lovely. You get the opportunity to experience the Malay culture, traditional food and religion in a completely different way. Zul, the owner of the café, is a very kind and loving person who cares a lot about your well being and safety and you can call him whenever you need help :) After the two weeks, it feels a little bit like home so I will definitely come back one day! Would recommend to everyone!! ☀️

My time in the guest house was amazing! The team is so kind and I learned a lot about the coffee lifestyle and the Malay Culture and language! It's a good place to have an intercultural experience and to discovering a new language and food (India, Chinese, Malaysian, Indonesia, etc). Zul is very kind and always take care of yourself and the family give you the best! Also is open to created different activities, in my case I offered yoga class and the people enjoyed. I'm really grateful for the opportunity and I absolutely want to back! Terimah Kasih 🤍

I absolutely loved my time in the guest house ❤️ 🌳 The team and all the people around are super nice and sweet, the work is easy and enjoyable. You'll experience pleasures of calm, simple local life and will get a lot of free time for yourself too. Zul is great host, very caring and attentive, will do everything for u to feel good, comfortable, have fun and totally enjoy your stay in the guest house 🫶🏻
