I really enjoyed working on the farm although the work was demanding sometimes. However, working extra hours turned out to be a huge plus, since we could use them to have some free time or even a whole day off. The hosts were kind and respectful towards our working schedule and all of our needs, which I really appreciated. Overall I enjoyed the whole experience :) But if you're a volunteer who's looking for a way to socialize with a lot of people it might not be the best option for you since we didn't really spend time with hosts and there was only one other volunteer.

I had a really great experience overall. The surrounding nature is beautiful, and the location isn't far from Bergen. Our host was very respectful of our working hours and remained flexible whenever we worked extra time, allowing us to take time off later. The job itself was never monotonous as we had a variety of tasks every day, and communication via WhatsApp was very smooth. The only minor downside was that the host was a bit slow to respond at the very beginning, which was slightly confusing, but everything worked out well the farm end. I would definitely recommend this place! :)

The time in Hatjetunet was great :) We were with another volunteers, so it was fun. Nature around is very beautiful, and there are a lot of hikes. the farm is often busy, but very welcoming and kind As we were in February, we were mostly pruning apple trees, sometimes cutting wood, also our daily tasks were to light the fire in furnace and feed the sheep. We were living in volunteer's apartment, deciding what to buy and cook by ourselves, which gave us autonomy, which I personally liked. Thank you! :)

Very nice experience, highly recommended! Rebecca was very welcoming, always kind and talkative, while Olav knows a lot of things and is very available. The work was enjoyable (mostly pruning trees plus some chainsaw work) and feeding the sheep was nice ;) The place is very beautiful and you can do some good hikes around, and the food was more than enough and great. Also, the accomodation on the garage is very cozy and is very well kept. Greetings to the nice volunteers that we met there, and thank you again for the great experience! All the best! :)

Amazing experience! the farm is beautiful, and the farm is incredibly warm and welcoming. Loved feeding the sheep, sorting apples, and learning about farm life, it felt like living in a Norwegian fairytale. Cozy house, stunning views, and the sweetest animals. Highly recommend! 🐑🍎💛
