This position is to help us at our new hostel, located in Anchieta Island State Park. Live inside a Conservation Unit for 4 weeks. Anchieta Island is the second largest island in the state of São Paulo, with seven beaches, trails, abundant fauna and flora, and even ruins of a prison decommissioned in 1955. There is no volunteer opportunity anywhere in the world like this! We are looking for someone to help us at the reception, bar, cleaning, and housekeeping tasks.

My volunteer experience on Anchieta Island was transformative; the place has a surreal energy, you become immersed in that routine and you live the island. During the activities, I was able to contribute to environmental preservation actions and support for visitors, teamwork and empathy. The activities are well divided and coordinated with both sides; I felt a lot of respect and warmth from the on-site staff toward the volunteers.

Spending a month immersed in the reserve was a very rich and transformative experience, one of those that leaves you with a fond nostalgia and that we carry for life! The whole team of the reserve is extremely welcoming, willing, communicative and cheerful, which made us feel at home from the first day. The working hours were followed properly, the food was excellent, we did several excursions, there was internet and we did cleaning and breakfast shifts for internal organization, in addition, there were work shifts that were alternated between the days. I highly recommend the experience!

My experience at the reserve was very special. The place is a paradise, full of nature and with a unique energy. I was there in the off-season, so at 5 p.m. when the park closed there were very few people on the island, which helped me a lot to connect with myself. I also met wonderful people and made friends. There was a lot of work and varied tasks; I imagine that in high season it must be busy. I recommend it for anyone seeking a different experience, surrounded by nature, tranquility and with space to get to know yourself.

Fui muito bem recebida por todos os funcionarios da reserva, o acolhimento foi desde o primeiro dia, o trabalho foi tranquilo mesmo com a quantidade elevada de horas semanais (pelo menos em baixa detemporada), que é um ponto negativo pois nao sobra tanto tempo pra aproveitar a ilha. A experiencia foi exatamente o que eu estava procurando! A ilha realmente é linda, magica e um lugar de cura. Indico a todos que queiram um tempo em meio a natureza, um tempo de paz e tranquilidade com paisagens maravilhosas.

La isla es hermosa,Vini también es súper copado como anfitrión,en general me gustó mucho,aprendí bastantes cosas de la vida y del lugar,también me crucé con personas increíbles que me hicieron reír mucho y pasar buenos momentos,recomiendo ir🙌
