The Experience

We (Damien, french, Samantha, English and Teogan our little toddler) live in a beautiful part of the french Pyrénées with amazing hikes on our doorstep with the convenience of a fully functional town with all the amenities you need. We are renovating a large building which in part is a backpackers and in part is our home. We have a project many projects ongoing at the moment - the garden/mountainside out back, the last floor to renovate...

I had a lovely experience in Luz Saint Sauveur with Sam, Damien and Theo! We enjoyed lots of lunches together where we had many great conversations. I really enjoyed spending time with sweet Theo. the work was well explained and only a few hours a day. The private room you have is so nice and cosy! 100% recommend and I hope to visit again sometime :)

Damian and Samantha and their place are amazing! Both of them showed so much interest and remembered almost everything we told them. They take great value in their guests and what the hostel think of their place and remember a lot about them as well :) we felt at home immediately and the lunches together (with teo ofc) we're great as well. The food was as good as the conversations we had in which we talked about anything and everything. The working hours were great and both Damian and Sam were always ready to help in case we needed something

We had a really good time during our stay here. Samatha and Damien are amazing hosts and really nice and caring people. Everything went as planned and their hostel is a really cozy and nice place. The work was clear and easy to do with a lot of time left to discover the beautiful Pyrenees! I could only recommend this experience!

Samantha and Damien were wonderful hosts! Communication was great before I got there and for the duration of my stay. We had the most beautiful homemade lunches every day, and I had a lovely room, as well as the shared spaces in the backpacker were so nice to hang out in. The work was very clear and the hours were always respected, including days off and plenty of time to explore the Pyrenees! Luz is a gorgeous mountain town, and I will absolutely return! Thank you Sam, Damien and Teo for providing me a home in France, I am so grateful for the experience and would highly recommend to anyone!

Samantha and Damien (and their son Teo) were a delight to stay with. This was my first solo trip, and was even better than expected! We shared lunch together everyday, made by them, which was always fresh and delicious. The work was quick and easy, meaning I had the rest of the day to explore town and go on hikes. They are happy to show you the best hikes around, and provide help with any questions. Luz Saint Sauzeur is a beautiful town engulfed by mountains, the perfect place to relax. I wish I stayed longer and I definitely recommend! *especially if you love hiking
