My time at the school gave me the opportunity to make new friendships, experience a welcoming social environment, and improve at what I was doing through constant feedback and collaboration with the other volunteers. Although the location of the accommodation and the school was a little challenging at times, it never overshadowed the beautiful memories I made here. I truly believe that you can learn so much from the students at the school, not only academically but also by experiencing genuine Turkish hospitality.

I've had a really great month with the school - the evening volunteering allows you lots of free time to explore the city, and the volunteer apartment is spacious and well connected to public transport. The work expectations are fair and for the most part, the students are really lovely to chat with - you will learn so much about Turkish culture. The commute from the apartment to the school is one hour, but there is so much to do and see around Kadisoy. Thankyou for having me!

Returning for the 3rd time says more than any review could. I call each stay a "season" where I watch life evolve. I first came when there was only Şişli, then I saw Kadıköy open and now I see it grow while Şişli prepares to close. I’ve witnessed the great work Cansu has been doing, always ready to help. I love our open communication, the club and seeing the students progress.
Grateful for another season here! I highly recommend adding an SII season to your journey. Not only will you visit a great city, you'll make friends for life.

I really enjoyed my time with the school. Everything went as agreed and they are very flexible. Hours were respected, accommodation was gorgeous and the people were just amazing. You get to learn about their culture and traditions while having interesting talks. Highly recommend it.

The house where volunteers stay is spacious and comfortable, although there are some details that could be fixed such as the shower door :(" The area is quiet and well connected by public transport. The teaching activity hardly feels like "work" because students are very welcoming and friendly and we spend hours chatting and playing games. The only unexpected thing is that attendance on Sundays is mandatory just like on Saturdays and volunteers don't get extra allowance if working more than 25 hours weekly. Overall, I would recommend this speaking club both to fellow volunteers and students.
